Summary: The property was perfect for the 9 of us. We loved the bedrooms. The living area was perfect for gathering and we spend a short time in there. The kitchen looked well equipped, but we only really used the kettle and the fridge! The outside area looked nice, but we only had three nights at the house, and didn't eat there. Our host met us at the train station and ensured that we had a minibus to take us up the hill to the house. We got lots of recommendations for restaurants in Levanto area. The gate to the property wasn't actually explained to us, and it took us a few goes with Keys and pushing, to work out that it is on an electric lock with a nearby switch - so that would have been useful! Also, if you are planning to walk over the mountain to Monterosso, (the house is situated beside the hiking path) I would not recommend the over mountain pass. The coastal path, although longer (8km?) is apparently less steep. Some of our group found the hike over the top rather challenging and it took us about 3 hours to reach the summit, and get back down the other side! The walk down to the Levanto train station (to hop over to the Cinque Terre) is easy - and Levanto itself was really nice and worth a visit. And yes, would highly recommend the house for a big group/family. Stunning views, and a gorgeous house, beautifully decorated.
